Elvis would have loved this toaster. With a brushed-metal finish like a customized '57 Chevy, chrome lift-levers and browning-control knobs, and control dials like old-time radios, it's lovingly and wittily retro. Functionally, however, it's 21st century. Two large slots, each 5-1/2 by 1-1/4 inches, handle bagels, English muffins, and thick gourmet breads as well as conventional bread. Push a button, and bagels or English muffins toast only on one side. Push another button, and frozen bread automatically toasts a little longer to account for defrosting time.
